Living Player coming to Virgin Media

Virgin Media TV has announced plans to boost the Living channel's on-demand offering by launching Living Player on Virgin Media.
Available this autumn, the Living Player will offer dedicated seven-day catch-up on shows such as Ghost Whisperer and Grey's Anatomy, as well as hours of archive content previously shown on the channel.
As Living HD will soon join Virgin's cable TV lineup, the player will also offer HD programming for free to all customers on the XL package.
"Living Player will provide the ultimate on-demand fix of entertainment for our viewers, offering everything they want, whenever they want it," said VMtv's director of television Claudia Rosencrantz. "It positions Living brilliantly for the future of television."
VMtv managing director Johnny Webb added: "Living is consolidating its position at the front of the pay TV pack. With HD also launching later in 2009, Living Player is yet another example of the way VMtv is embracing the brave new world of brilliant brands across every screen."
Living Player will also be made available on PCs at some point "later in the year".
