UPC Austria is adding five new channels, including Rush HD, to its digital line-up. At the same time, it will stop distributing a number of channels from the Sky Deutschland bouquet.

From Tuesday, September 1, UPC will add Animal Planet, D-Max, Auto Motor and Sport Channel and Romance TV to its Digital TV Plus bouquet. The operator will cease to distribute Sky Krimi, Jetix, Junior and Focus Gesundheit as a result of its contract with Sky Deutschland.

Rush HD will replace Voom HD in the UPC HD+ bouquet, which also includes Eurosport HD, National Geographic HD and Fashion TV HD. In the basic HD bouquet, viewers can receive ORF HD and Arte HD.

As of June 30, UPC Austria was serving 725,000 customers, of which 545,000 took television and 200,000 were digital homes.
