The third-season finale of Bio Channel's original series I Survived became the most-watched initial telecast in network history.

The Aug. 30 installment of I Survived averaged 593,000 viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research data. That total also included 258,000 18-to-49 viewers and 304,000 of the 25-to-54 set, both of which also represented network records.

The third season of the show, which explores first-person accounts of true-life tales of strength and courage in the face of unforeseen, life-threatening situations, was the series best, improving its performance over its sophomore run by 10%, 25% and 29% among viewers, 18 to 49s and adults 25 to 54.

The fourth season is slated to premiere on Bio in December.
