ARD, EinsFestival and fellow public broadcaster ZDF recently screened an HDTV showcase during the World Championships in Athletics in Berlin during August, with another planned at Christmas. Regular HDTV transmissions will commence at the occasion of the Vancouver Winter Olympics in February 2010.
