Following complaints from the Representative Council of Jewish Institutions of France, media authority CSA has send a notice to satellite operator Eutelsat about the broadcasts of the Egyptian Al Rahma channel.

The Council complained about the violent and anti-Semetic nature of some of the programmes of the broadcaster. Al Rahma is broadcast on one of the Eutelsat satellites.

The CSA has now send a notice to Eutelsat that indeed the channels breaks the French law prohibiting incitement to hatred and violence for reasons of race, sex, morality, religion or nationality.
