IP Vision has signed a new deal with Disney to make a range of new and library movies available on its Fetch TV SmartBox video on demand service.

Under the deal, Fetch TV users will get access to premium films from Walt Disney Pictures, Miramax and Touchstone Pictures, including Doubt, Signs and Bedtime Stories. New titles will cost 3.49 for a 24-hour rental, with library movies available for 1.99 for the same time period.

IP Vision chief executive Eddie Abrams said: "This deal is great for our customers because it allows them access to great blockbuster family entertainment movie titles without being tied into any monthly subscription.

"Users will have access to some of the best family entertainment available from the latest movies to some classic library blockbusters."

Disney EMEA new media distribution senior vice president Maria Kyriacou added: "The flexibility of IP Vision's FetchTV gives UK viewers the opportunity to enjoy our diverse portfolio of features 24 hours a day on a pay-as-you-go basis.

"We continue to work with partners to offer viewers the power to choose the content they want, at a time that suits them, and our deal with IP Vision underlines this ongoing strategy."

Launched back in July, the Freeview+ accredited Fetch TV SmartBox offers access to a range of broadcast and video on-demand content, including 1,500 hours of on-demand programming from the BBC, Channel 4, Sky Sports News, CNN and the Discovery Channel.
