Olympics may be shown in 3D

It looks like the BBC is interested in getting involved in the current move to bring 3D TV to the screens of UK viewers.

According to Roger Mosey, the director of the BBC’s 2012 Olympic operation, the BBC is already investing in equipment and technology that will allow the viewers of the world’s largest sporting event get the most from their TVs.

While speaking at the IBC event in Amsterdam it was put around that the BBC should at least broadcast some events in 3D.

It would be impossible to film the entire games in this format due the amount of technology required.

There is the possibility of the BBC turning to super HD.

This and 3D TV pose some serious question for the corporation, especially as to how it intends to deliver these services.
