Davis frontrunner for ITV chairman role

Sir Crispin Davis, the former chief executive of Reed Elsevier, has emerged as the frontrunner to become the chairman of ITV after it emerged Michael Grade was to step down as chairman by the end of the year.

Meanwhile ITV is back to square one in the search for a CEO after Tony Ball stepped away. Reports say that as well as baulking at his pay demands, the board objected to his wish to have a say over who became chairman.
