V lands on Sci-Fi channel

The long awaited remake of the science fiction show V, in which scenes of aliens invading the Earth had viewers riveted to their TV screens during the 1980ís, is coming to the UK and will be shown on the Sci-Fi Channel.

The announcement follows a deal between the Sci-Fi channelís parent company NBC Universal and the producers of the series, Warner Brothers International Television Distribution.

The Sci-Fi channel has won the UK first run rights for the eighteen part series of one-hour long episodes.

This is part of a larger deal that also includes a series based on the Witches of Eastwick, and Human Target, a series that follows a DC Comic character.

These series will all be scheduled for airing in 2010, although no exact details have been announced yet.
