Upbeat DTT assessment in Hungary

Antenna HungariaThe number of receivers used to watch Hungary’s FTA DTT service MinDig TV already exceeded 55,000 at the end of this August.
The figure was provided yesterday (October 14) at a conference on digital switchover organised by Antenna Hungária.
It also heard that a new Media Act may be enacted in the first half of 2010, as well as calls for a level playing field in competition between digital platforms.
MinDig TV was launched last December. Although reaching 88% of households, the percentage that are ready to receive the service is around 1.5%, many of which have a HD screen.
