DM500 remote contol is dead

Hi All,

I had a surprise yesterday with my DreamBox DM500S, it stopped to respond to the remote control after reboot, only the green led is on, I have checked the remote with Camera phone and it seems working, I did use my pc to control the box and I did factory reset, still the box is not responding to the remote control, I have seen the same problem in different discussion groups but no one have really explained the solution, any idea will be appreciated.

In case it is just a faulty remote, you can get replacements from Ebay for around a tenner. I would just do that.

@deadthings You don't read enough, remote is already tested.

@madofr Some setting may changed by updating or installing a new software.
Better way is: backup ému settings, flash your dreambox with new image, then test your remote...
OK = set originals ému settings

NO then maybe a hardware failure on your DM... open it & have a look on soldering parts
