TV3 Renews Distribution With Measat

Measat Satellite Systems signed an agreement with Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad (TV3) to extend its contract for the channel’s distribution on the Measat-3 satellite for another five years, the operator announced Oct. 19.
TV3 is one of Measat’s longest serving customers. Measat-3 provides a video distribution platform, which distributes the channel over 110 countries.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Malaysia’s TV3 will be carried on the Measat-3 satellite for a further five years, following a deal between Measat and TV3’s owner Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad, part of Media Prima.
TV3 was incorporated in 1983 as Malaysia’s first commercial TV station. It is first and foremost a terrestrial channel but is also available on Malaysian pay-TV platform Astro, a sister company of Measat.
“TV3 is one of our longest serving customers and we are delighted that they renewed their contract with us,” said Yau Chyong Lim, Senior Director, Sales and Marketing, MEASAT.
MEASAT-3 provides a video distribution platform which reaches over 110 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Eastern Europe, Eastern Africa and Australia.
