Problems sharing my new sky white card

I have a dreambox 7020 loaded with Darkstar 2 and CCcam 2.1.1 and new cs 166. I am on a small cardsharing group of 20 people.

I am sharing 5 cards including a new sky white card. Now ever since I started using my sky white card I have getting bad freezes and lock ups on the sky channels every 2 minutes or so on my own box.

I have tryed everything to try and stop this without joy.

The strange thing is if I disconnect my ethernet network lead from the back of my dreambox the sky freezing stops and it works great.

I have come to the conclusion that im going to have to stop sharing my sky white card and just run it locally on my box unless someone knows how I should fix this freezing problem?

If I have to stop sharing my sky card then I would like to know what I have to do to my newcs and cccam.cfg files to stop my sky card being shared out?. I would want to keep sharing my 4 other cards and still be able to access the other cards on the group as there is no problem there.

Any help would be appreciated.

Remove all other cards and smargo readers from your receiver
Use sci0 or sci1 for the white card
Download newcs_1.66_82 or newer, add your box key in newcs.xml, delete any debug lines and don't modify other default settings.
Install cccam 2.1.2.
Let it run now or copy paste these settings:



in cc cfg:
N: 127.0.0.1 10001 newcs newcs 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 1 4

Ok creta I have followed your instructions and deleted out the old data in my Newcs file and copied and pasted your above data .

My results after following what you last posted are very interesting

Now instead of my white card freezing for 20 seconds every minute or two I now only get two 10 second freezes every ten minutes

Could this be anything to do with these emm and ecm lines I have set ?

what is the maximum time you can set these Emm and Ecm too?

Could I set it up to 60 ? as I think I could live with one 20 sec freeze every hour.

Also creta in your edited Newcs data above I have noticed you have removed the line
<mhz>375</mhz>

is there a reason for this?

Also I am still using Cccam 2.1.1 and newcs 166 and my dreambox 7020 image is darkstar 2 enigma 1

I cannot find the file Cccam 2.1.2 and Newcs 1.66_82 for enigma 1 image could someone post a link to it please?

hmmm... try <emm>20</emm> and <ecm>-1</ecm>
I think your freezes depends on the updates of your card
Try also to set it up to 60.

About the <mhz> values, for some people works fine by default <mhz>358</mhz>, other reports the card has to be overclocked <mhz>600</mhz>.
Try also different values between 3.58 and 6.00Mhz

ok creta Thank you for your helpfull pm. I have now reloaded my dreambox back to the latest gemini and loaded Cccam 2.1.1 with NewCs 167 and it is alot better now. The freezing lockup time is now about 1-2 sec and it now only happens twice every 30 minutes

In NewCs I have set the emm up to 60 and the ecm to 1 as you last posted

I have a feeling that this is as good as im going to get as nomatter what I do the freezing is still there in some way.

Some other options you can try one by one:

1. set <carddetect>no</carddetect>
2. If it doesn't help remove the line <rate> from your xml.
3. Block everything i.e. sa, ua and ga
4. Turn ga off and sa/ua on
5. put 0963 at the top of your prio
6. another cfg for a card in the lower slot sci0

Worked out the problem at last. This all was down to the fact my sky card was a second multiroom card. I had been borrowing it from a friend

It seems that if you are using a second sky multiroom card to share then this will cause you all sorts of bad freezing problems.

I have confirmed this by borrowing another white sky card from another friend that only has one sky card and box. Guess what no freezing at all in my dreambox.

It seems the second multiroom cards know they are being shared out so they start to freeze like hell.

Someone may be able to get around this. But for now I had stop sharing my sky card. Because once I took it of the network it works ok.
