How do i enable pvr in my "pvr ready" 9500 ? In the menus there is an
exclamation mark over the pvr icon and it can not be entered.
Is it enough to connect a external hd drive via usb ?
If so must it be formatted in any special way ?

Yes, this menu will be activate when you have an storage device connected to the usb port.
if you want to use an hdd it is posible that you need to use the both usb port on the receiver
