Hivion over WLAN

Hi there!

I want to ask one question. I connected my Hivion (11.21.0F) with an Router over Wireless Lan. When using the Tool Gladiator I can switch Com Port to the WLAN adapter. The Menu Network Setup appears, too. To connect to cccam I have tried SBCL with Hadu, McFly and Flyhadi with no result.

When I roll back to version 11.09.8F and go to SSSP Protocol and connect with SBCL or WSP over Com Port there is no data going to Hivion and no data going to the tool.

Any help? I am a bit annoyed

Is there another tool I can try with Hivion?

how did you connected your hivion with the PC??????
i don't get it...can you connect a hivion with PC via wireless?????
i have a hivion 9090x ultima HD please tell me how to connect the hivion via wireless...what do i need...?? what are the steps to follow...???

Living room:
I got an LAN-2-RS232 adapter. It´s connected to the receiver. A WLAN router is made to an repeater and connected to the adapter.

Other room:
The router (connected to DSL) is connected to LAN. I had installed (specially for the adapter) a software, which connects a com port from my PC to the IP address of the adapter. When I open the com port, the connection to the receiver will etablish.
Here I am using "Gladiator" to open the com port

When rebooting the receiver and everything is okay, than you can see the new menu item network setup. The application of gladiator tells you "connected to STB".

In this setup option you can only insert NewCamd and Radegast server adresses.

I don´t know why Hivion does not change the firmware to outsourcing to flash drive . So it would be more comfortable and flexible and could have cccam, etc...

But can you connect the hivion via wifi usb adapter???


i have tried and opened a free newcamd server through gladiator connecting the hivion and pc with the serial port and it opened the channels for about 15 min (the server died after 15min)...

There's also another method....with the calypso device that is a lan adapter for hivion. Calypso enables the network menu after connecting this device with hivion via serial...
but in this case i think hivion needs a special softcam ...

Yes, I could connect!!!

But I have changed something on my PC when I made my tests with sssp protocol and since then I have troubles to connect again....

Subnetz Mask always 255.255.255.0

LAN adapter should be connected direct to the set top box.
Connection between Repeater and adapter with a standard Cat5 cable.

Better is when you install redirector software from the manufacturer of your adapter on your computer. You must connect the com port to the adapter there.

Use the following software from here http://board.satportal.to/tools-shar...tml#post127509 Download and extract to c:\G (for example).

Now start cmd (Start/Run, " cmd " [enter]; a dos window qill appear. There you can type
" cd c:\G\data " [enter] - now C\G\data> should be on the left

Type " app com3 " (3 is only an examplebut it should run - I have chosen Com5) [enter].
Now the application is beginning to connect to your set top box.

Go into the Menu of your set top box and choose SERIAL PORT. You can take Gladiator or Calypso (for card sharing it's the same ), then press OK, so it will reboot and your computer will directly connect to your stb. You can control the result(s) in the dos window.
