Well as far as "exclusive HACKS" they will have to do better then HD+/CI+.
The only thing that will interest me will be the ability to decode NDS.
The only thing I can hope to expect from them is to be able to decode N2/N3, and all that's going to do is to kill off Nagara once and for all.
As someone with a Paid Sub (Cable), which uses N2-ßetacrypt tunnel, through a SoftCam + SmartMouse Reader this thought scares me, cause then almost everything here will eventually be in NDS after 2012 or 2015 by the latest!!
And would ORF really count as an Exclusive, should they crack there CW Bios5 (IIRC)?
Well I would buy it if it had somewhere in the diablo 2 menu where I could enter my NDS boykey so I could use my sky card fully.
At the moment its only possable to view the basic channels with a white sky card in the Diablo. It used to be possable for a diablo cam to fully read all the old sky blue yellow house cards.
I will wait for more info on this I think before I buy it.
Why not just use an old Dragon/T-Rex Cam?
1) It's defently cheaper.
2) IIRC (and sadly I can't confirm this 100% either as I gave the CAM away), it has the option to enter the NDS Boxkey.
I thought I recalled such an option for the Diablo too, to be honest though I'm starting to wonder if I hadn't confused that "bit" of it with the Dragon/T-Rex.
Not that I ever had the need to use such an option though.
That and the fact that prior NDS Cards did in fact work on the Dragon/T-Rex. But, even then YOU STILL NEEDED A UK SKYBOX TO KEEP THE KEYS UPDATED!!
So perhaps the Diabo ~can read~ NDS Cards, just not "update" them.
So it's 15/11 but where's the big announcement?
So far Duolabs never poduced wrong product without commercial success and being flagman on its own area...
But I really can not see any reason to buy this new cam for time being. Really for me there is no difference what kind of CPU and how many RAM is there, But what it really does is more important.
Besides there is still no offical announcement for new CAM just a rumours.
To the point: I seriously doubt we will see Diablo2 at all
I can't find any fault with this statement.
Like I also stated, what I'd like to see is NDS (BSkyB/DSky), what I'd expect would be updated N2/N3 (D+/DSky/Polsat/KDG and company).
What might (or might not be), realistic Viaacess 3.0, and then how many Providers still actually use that, and haven't already moved on to Viaacess 5.0??
As for CI+-HD+- IS AN EVIL THAT NO MAN SHOULD HAVE TO ENDURE!!
That (thankfully for now?!?), is something only of interest for Germany and or German speaking Regions of Europe, although I can easily see SES Astra pressing some similar crap on Astra 2 for Freesat at some point in the future as well.
If this bullsh!t (read: Entavo) should actually get some traction this time.![]()

All this new features are used to handle the HD channels better in the next feature.
Diablo CAM 2 can be CI+ compatible but not in this stage*
* (No release date available at present).
It does not matter to me what it looks like.
It is what it opens and the price of the Cam that are of interest.
We should not let the rip-off artists con us again.
Let us evaluate the Cam when we have all the facts on the table. At present the Duolab people are just trying to drum up support for a product not even on the market.
Unfortunately some brain-dead Duolab supporters have already ordered the Cam.
