I'm planning to buy DreamBox DM 8000 HD PVR, how many Channels will I get?

Hi Guys,

I'm very newbie to DreamBox. I'm located in Austria and currently get Astra sat with my old receiver. I'm planning to buy DreamBox DM 8000 HD PVR which cost around 1000€

My questios are thse:

1- If I buy DM 8000 HD PVR how many Satellites would I be able to get and how many Channels?

2-Do I have to subscribe then to individual paid channels, where?

How it works if I want to get all channels?

I would really appreciate some information and i apologize for the naive nature of my question.

Hi

You don't have to choose a dm8000 to get all channels.
If you want to cross a river, don't buy a car, better is a boat

No way to receive all channels because some are encrypted with no hacked encryption, some will change encryption to stop cardsharing.

Only one sat !!!(astra)
Better is to buy a dm800 & keeping money to buy motorised dish...
(see kingofsat or lyngsat)

No money trouble!!!
You can buy dm8000 & lot of smardcard readers & lot of pay-tv subscriptions. $$$$$$$
Where to susbcribe!!! internet & google is your best friend

Do cardsharing !!!
Yes it's better to exchange your pay tv card with the others peers.

I mean that there is a lot of sat in the sky to scan, to watch, to ear and
a lonely sat pointing by your dish is poor.

You can point to Hbird/astra by using dual LNB & many others with a motorised dish & get more channels in any language.

That's why you can go on google to visit kingofsat or lyngsat sites

At this point I have a question:

To satart I assum I need to have a pay tv card, I mean some kind of legal subscription to be able then to share, exchange, etc, so:

Which package / sattellite / and registrant do you suggest me to start with?

OK now we know that you want to use cardsharing.

To do, you need to find peers to integrate à existing network share.
It's better to propose a pay-tv to exchange but not indispensable.
(choose the subscription for YOU)

Do you need HD channel & is your TV able too ?
Then a dm 800 is ok & a clone cost ~300€ original ~450€

Don't need HD to begin!!!
Then a dm 500s is ok a clone cost ~65€ delay ~20 days
an original 500+ cost ~190€

What share plugin using!!!
Cccam is good, gbox too but maybe you need to choose by peers...
Ex I share with gbox, you share with cccam then we can not share together

Why shou'd you be carefully!!!
Because some pay-tv providers will change their encryption system to stop cardharing.

I don't want members payd a lot to have fun only 2, 4, or 6 monthes

Sky & csat are very active to disturb cardsharing...

Earn your money dm500 + a good sky subscription for you (if cardsharing stop, subsc. is always ok).

I just purshased a new HD Sony TV and today my first Receiver DreamBox DM 800 S, so Im really excited.

Now I'm looking for a subscription, please help me here:

I live in Austria and the only thing available here is sky: http://www.sky.at/web/cms/de/abonnieren-preisinfos.jsp

All that channels from Sky Austria are in German and I dont want German channels, I want languages like Spanish, Italian o English (mainly).

My questions:

1- Does SKY subscription card works with DreamBox DM 800 ? ...

2- Can I buy a subscription OUT of my country ?.. What place do you suggest me to buy a subscription to some good Satellite ?

3- What else accesorie or component do I need to buy?

I just called Sky Uk and they told me I can not have Sky English(uk) in Austria. why????

2) Sometimes it's possible but usually you can not because there is copyright

Except a rs232 female/female crossed cable
Dm 800 include DVI to hdmi cable

Then I think you don't need anything else or can buy it on supermarket...

A USB stick may be a good choice 1 to 4 Go
A HDD 2.5 inch that you can insert on DM (optionnal)
A wifi dongle if you can't connect DM on wired network (if your router is wifi)

I have just received the DreamBox 800, and soon should arrive my skycard with world+films pack. (and the other receiver provided by sky)

Since I want to use the DreamBox instead of the sky receiver I have one question:

People tell me that DreamBox won't read the SkyCard without Smargo Cardreader and Cccam specific line on config file,

Should I buy Smargo Cardreader?

do you know about that?

They tell you the good way, then you need to buy a smargo.
