Egyptian Dreams broadcaster, emitting two TV channels from satellites Nilesat 101/102 (7.0 ° W): Dream 1 (music channel) and Dream 2 (movie channel), launched the unencoded emissions test stations in high definition. Atlantic Bird satellite at 4A (7.2 ° W) appeared Dream HD. Transmission is carried out in DVB-S/MPEG-4. It is a return to the issue - at the beginning of the tests were conducted for short decks Nilesat 101, but pretty soon they stopped.
Tests of the first quarter of 2009 were carried out with the frequency 12.015 GHz, pol. V, SR: 27500, FEC: 3 / 4. This time we used the following parameters:
Atlantic Bird 4A (7.2 ° W)
tp. 1 (11.219 GHz, pol. H, SR: 27500, FEC: 3 / 4; DVB-S/QPSK)
ID: Dream HD
V PID: 4301
A PID: 4302
PCR PID: 4301
SID: 4301
Encoding: none
Image quality: 1920x1080 (1080i), about 5.8 Mbit / s
Sound Quality: 192 kbit / s stereo
Reception in Poland from its current location is quite difficult. To obtain a stable picture and sound may need to bowl the size of approximately 150 - 180cm upwards depending on where you live. In testing at the beginning of the year was a little easier - vertical polarization of the Nilesat 101 and 102 has a slightly stronger signal to the antennas reached 120cm.
The SD channels are broadcast Dream 1 Nilesat 102, 11.900 GHz, pol. V, SR: 27500, FEC: 5 / 6 (slightly stronger signal), and Dream 2, Nilesat 101, 11.843 GHz, pol. H, SR: 27500, FEC: 5 / 6 (slightly weaker signal).
