Golden Interstar 8300 keeps looping

Hi

Hope someone can help, recently bought a new Golden Interstar 8300 which may have already been patched for when you press '0' to enter keys.

For some reason today the receiver when started goes into a loop.

It starts, I get the interstar logo and then it turns off, it then starts again and displays the logo before turning off again and again.

It seems that I'm in a eternal loop making the receiver unusable.

Are their any reset buttons or do I have to reinstall the firmware inside by connecting to my PC?

reinstall the firmware again and the problem will be cleared

I'm trying this right now, how long does it normally take?

I've connected an rs232 cable and I'm using STB upgrade Ver 1.9.1.

I followed the instructions carefully by plugging into PORT COM2 first, then loading the .bin file, then selecting connect, then plugging in the receiver.

But nothing seems to happen, except for the receiver to continue looping?

Does the STB upgrade program usually display a progress bar?

This is the first time for me so I'm a bit lost, it could be the cable or the receiver.

:) looks like I've managed it :)

Had a COM1 problem on the PC, so uninstalled the driver of COM1 restarted the PC with the receiver plugged into the PC. Then I started the STB upgrade and follwed instructions.

As soon as I connected the receiver to the mains it started updating :)
