    Following our release of Merlin Excalibur E2 images for the Dreamboxen 7025, 800 and 8000 is now the next step forward in the development of our E2 Images.
We want to officially our new Merlin Excalibur E2 images) based on the new OE 1.6 (new kernel release, for the Dreamboxen 500HD, 800 and 8000.
In addition, there are also still the same fresh, new image for the Dreambox 7025, based on OE 1.5 available (OE 1.6, there are not as well known for the 7025).

    Nach unserem Release der Merlin Excalibur E2 Images für die Dreamboxen 7025, 800 und 8000 geht es nun den nächsten Schritt in der Entwicklung unserer E2 Images voran.
Wir wollen hier offiziell unsere neuen Merlin Excalibur E2 Images, basierend auf dem neuen OE 1.6 (neuer Kernel), für die Dreamboxen 500HD, 800 und 8000 veröffentlichen.
Des Weiteren gibt es hier auch gleich noch frische, neue Images für die Dreambox 7025, auf Basis OE 1.5 angeboten (OE 1.6 gibt es bekannter weise nicht für die 7025).

Die Features der Merlin Excalibur E2 Images haben sich hierbei nicht wesentlich verändert, nachfolgend noch einmal die technischen Eckdaten:

Samba ist in den Images nicht enthalten, kann aber bei Bedarf mittels AddonManager (Paket sambaserver) Online nach installiert werden.

Mit DreamCC kann man den von DMM entwickelten dccamd starten und stoppen. Wir bieten jedoch auf dreambox-tools.info weder Emulatoren an, noch geben wir Support dafür.


Nun einige wichtige Hinweise organisatorischer Art, bitte lest diese sorgfältig durch!

* Die neuen Merlin Excalibur E2 Images, mit Ausnahme der 7025, sind nicht über ein Software Update einspielbar, die Images müssen komplett neu geflasht werden!
* Unser Software/Addon Feed für die Merlin Excalibur Images OE 1.5 wird mittelfristig etwa noch einen Monat Online sein, danach wird er abgeschalten und es läuft dann nur noch der OE 1.6 Feed.
Die Ausnahme hierbei bildet aus oben genannten Gründen natürlich die Dreambox 7025.
* Multiboot für die neuen Images ist von uns nicht getestet, die entsprechenden Kernel Treiber sind jedoch in den Images enthalten.
