MTV Networks MTV Baltics closed
Media company MTV Networks, which is responsible for the production of MTV in various European markets, has closed its branches in the three Baltic countries. MTV Lietuva & Latvija (Latvia and Lithuania) and MTV Eesti (Estonia) in their respective countries have been replaced by a European channel MTV Europe.
Draft MTV Baltics formed more than 4 September 2006.
The final sentence of the channels is dictated by the Baltic economic considerations.
For example, MTV Eesti enjoyed much less attention than the MTV Europe viewers, which could be seen in the country even before the introduction of a national mutation.
MTV Europe at that time also worked in Lithuania and Latvia.
Let me add that at the beginning of 2009, as a result of financial crisis, two separate stations, MTV Latvija and MTV Lietuva were combined into one project named as MTV Lietuva & Latvija.
