How to repair Dragon CAM

I am using a TechniSat DigiCorder Si with a Dragon Cam Rev 3.2 and Predator 3.25.

Everything going well until the receiver crashed a few days ago. I rebooted box successfully but ever since it seems to have a problem reading the CAM.

I get 'Slot Empty' and lose encrypted channels. After restarting the receiver everything works again for a while. I have tried different Predator files, but problem persists.

I don't know whether I have a CAM or receiver problem. Can anyone help?

yeap its your receiver that has the prob. if dragon had the problem it wouldn't work even for a second. it would find it but it would say something about invalid id or something similar. something must have happened to your receiver's CI slot

Thanks for your help. Does anyone know if there's a way of fixing the receiver's CI slot?

donno, ask a technician to be sure. maybe a minor prob or a big one...

Unfortunately, there's English language forums that I'm aware of for TechniSat receivers so I'll have to get onto the manufacturers in Germany. A b lank screen for a few weeks!
