hi guys, i have a problem connecting dream box to dream up through null modem rs 232.the dream up wont pick dream box any help.cheers.

Hi

Power off dm500
Unwire all cables except rs232 crossed cable
start dreamUp software
Keep your finger on start dreambox button
Insert power cable on dm
let your finger 5 or 8 sec on start button
Look dreamUP windows that dreambox is connected.

If u dream up pick the dreambox and not go further then change ur PC . ur problem will be solved. [/U]

Hi

Try to unselect ethernet choice on dreamup
Make sure your rs232 is crossed
Is this a DM clone?
Don't want to connect to dm or Do not upload image?

i think its clone box and the story was last time i flashed the image using the rs232 null cable and it connected.but the problem i did was i went to dreamwizard tool and i pressed the telnet button and erase all the data.then after ward i try to boot my box its only showing me green light on front pannel and nothing else come on tv screen.

so i decided to flash again but this time it wont connect to dream up.

I think you've deleted dreambox bios then you need a jtag process to repair it

forget to use flashwizard prefer dreamUP

Well, it's been some days I am trying to connect my Dreambox 500C to the internet via my laptop which is connected to the internet via WIFI. I know I was close to get the connection working because while I was trying many config, I message appeard on TV telling me that I have 54 days remainning for my subscription, so basically I was certain the solution is somewhere there.

Could you please help me out with this? basically I need to know exactly the config of my wifi router, my laptop and my Dreambox. (IPs, Gateway, ...)
