No - the new image (PLI) will overwrite the old (GP)
so you mean that the old image will not cause any problems if i overwrite it with the (pli) image.

How about doing regular and recommanded operation of installing a new image. I think it would be more safe and clear with using, as it is said, DreamUP. It is a tool to perform with any well expected installaion. In addition by this mean you can do automatically both operations - erasing and installing - and without delayng or harming. i have read over more than a guide or a tut to grasp from experiences that it is safe to do an erase first and then an installation. Mainly for changing from an image... That is what i do at a related occasion.
