Nice info here, will be back over the months for other reasons...

But for now have a rather boring question for all you hackers. But you can't answer, though.

I have a number of the above decoders for Canal+ in France. The cards are all paid up full access (sorry ) . We cannot get the parental code necessary to watch all the channels, as the bills are paid by our absent employer, and I can't call Canal+ as my French is extremely bad. Any workaround known?

I found the codes by experiment. For future reference (guess they are default values):
Philips Terminus DUS PHI1 : 8888
Philips Terminus TST PHI1 : 1234

Fortunately the decoder does not seem to 'lock out' easily after failed attempts.
