    Hi again

Sorry to be a nuisanse but could I ask you a couple more questions

    * I have created a dydns address (VU+ ip) which is a web address, is this correct as there were other options on the host site
    * does my FTP password need to be included in my CFG or do I just create a unique user and password or no user and password.

Hope you don't mind me using your expertise, but once I crack this first script I will be up and running.

    Thanks again.

    Re: VU+ Duo

    Hi!

I'm planning to buy me a Vu+ Duo, but as my other tuners are running on gbox, I will not go for Vu+ if I can't get gbox on this one as well. Maybe I could buy three new tuners, and use another emu, but my sat-budget is not big enough.

If I buy a Vu+, is it easy to get gbox running? Is it maybe a plugin available in any of the images, which can download and install gbox directly? Or do I have to do it manually..? Any scripts for starting/re-starting gbox?

As you can see, I really don'tknow anything regarding this tuner, so please feel free to help me. I'm used to gbox on my Relook 400s-tuners, so all my experience is from this tuner. It would be of great help if anyone would explain how to do this (gbox-Vu+), or direct me to a site where this is already explained.

    @kanutten

install dream elite black hole image on vu duo and you will have gbox 2.25 in download center. script and attribute are good, you just have to put your cwshare.cfg in order to work properly

    regards

    Re: VU+ Duo

    Hi again!

I've now got my Vu+, and I'm using DE Black Hole. I did find the download for gbox, but I can not find the cfg-files anywhere..? The file structure is quite different to my previous Relook tuner.

If anyone could guide me to where the cfg-files are supposed to be, I would be really glad. Maybe I have to add them manually? If so, I need to know where they are supposed to be. By the way; where do I find the gbox-file itself? In my Relook, I'm running one gbox for each tuner, and of course I have two sets of cfg-files. How do I set up the Vu+ to get both tuners running?

As yo can see, I'm a bit lost at the moment. Feel free to give me a hand, and probably many others as well.

    hi

cfg files are in /usr/keys, gbox bin in usr/bin

you just have to put your cwshare.cfg in usr/keys, chmod 755 on oth files in this folder and let gbox run

    regards

    Re: VU+ Duo

I'm running the latest DE Black Hole, and I've installed gbox 2.25, but I can't get picture. I have an original conax card, but still no picture. Do I need to install anything more than gbox? On my Relook gbox works like a charm, and it does read both my NDS an my conax card.

Please help, if you think you can...

    Re: VU+ Duo

Finally it is working as it should. It was in fact some kind of hardware-trouble, but I did get a new tuner form the seller, and this one is working OK. The only trouble is the fact that it is only working as a single tuner. It is not possible to watch one channel, while recording another... Any good ideas..?

    Hi
it depends if you connect 2 cables (from two heads or a twin head) to the vu duo or if you just use the loop through function.

in case you use two heads or a twin outputs head, you can record a channel while watching another, without any trouble regarding tranponders. But if you use the loopthrough functions, you can only watch and record channels placed on same transponders

    regards

Does this apply to gbox as well..? It works fine with CCcam, but when I'm running gbox, the recording stops when I try to watch another channel. I'm not using the loopthrough-function, as I have twin-LNB's.
