is there a way of entering other information var files,emus for eg, withouth having the internet am looking for hotbird 13e ,is there a way of building such for when using dreamup and flashing it all at once ,without router just null modem or crossover cable(do you need an internet}can it be done without

Internet is not needed :)
you can use offline update / offline plugins install ....
just connect your Dreambox to your LAN and then use an FTP sw to upload packages you need to your dreambox.
