Few weeks ago dream multimedia upgraded his drivers from 7.3 to 7.4
This is a big update because they removed dvbcore from 2.6.18 kernel and added an external updated dvbcore.
With dvbcore they also ported v4l-dvb drivers and now usb tuners seem to work really fine.
We updated our image to use this new drivers. For now we published it on our tests feeds.
For enable test feeds go in software manager -> extra and install the right package for the box:
- test-feeds-dm800
- test-feeds-dm8000
- test-feeds-dm500hd
- test-feeds-dm800se
(don't do it if you have a clone)

Qualche settimana fa la dream multimedia ha aggiornato i suoi driver dalla versione 7.3 alla 7.4
E' stato un grosso aggiornamento perchè hanno rimosso il dvbcore dal kernel 2.6.18 e aggiunto un dvbcore esterno.
Insieme al dvbcore hanno anche portato tutti i driver v4l-dvb ed ora i tuner usb sembrano funzionare molto bene.
Abbiamo aggiornato l'immagine per usare i nuovi driver. Per ora è pubblicata sui feed di test.
Per abilitare i feed di test andare in software manager -> extra e installare il pacchetto giusto per il decoder:
- test-feeds-dm800
- test-feeds-dm8000
- test-feeds-dm500hd
- test-feeds-dm800se
(non farlo se hai un clone)
Attualmente per i cloni non è possibile usare questo nuovo kernel in quanto non c'è un ss che lo faccia andare.
Dunque chi usa il clone continui ad usare la release normale della sif altrimenti vi ritroverete il decoder bloccato e sarete costretti a riflasharlo.
Actually is not possible to use this new kernel with clone because there isn't a second stage patched to work with it.
People that use a clone box must use a old sifteam release with 7.3 kernel.
Per chi possiede un box originale invece è consigliatissimo aggiornare in quanto adesso i driver per il dtt dovrebbero funzionare molto meglio in quanto supportati direttamente da dmm.
Dunque ricapitolando per chi possiede il box originale (
Mi raccomando non installatela sui cloni)
1)scaricate il pacchetto con i feed di test da software manager----extra
2)riavviate il box e vi troverete l'immagine con il nuovo kernel e i nuovi driver dvb-dtt da installare
