Canal Digital adopts ADB’s Carbo interface for DVR deployment

Set-top box maker ADB is to supply its ADB-5720X hybrid DVR box pre-integrated with its Carbo user interface to Nordic pay TV operator Canal Digital.

The Carbo interface offers fast channel change and permits users to navigate via a carousel of icons rather than traditional multi-layer menus.

“We look forward to our cooperation with ADB and the launch of high quality DVRs that will strengthen our portfolio of set-top boxes”, said Terje Storhaug, chief technology officer of Canal Digital owner Telenor Broadcast Holding.
