YAMP - Yet Another Music Player or in good German: "Yet another music player" based on the media player of the VTI image, the media player of OpenPLi images and music player together with the Merlin Idream database. Gave the name YAMP it for a similar project already in the 90s of the last millennium - I hope times, the fact that there is no copyright.

The basic idea of ​​the player: All-to-play titles must first be transferred into the playlist, and then from there the play in order. Be inserted during playback of the playlist can not only add more songs but also fromthe playlist will be deleted immediately or after the current track and plays immediately.

For each title, the appropriate cover on the Internet are automatically found and displayed. The retrieval of the associated Songtextesist also possible. The database (version 1 is not yet implemented) allows selection of a title by artist, album or genre. The database contained duplicate title can optionally be hidden.

The player supports file formats WAV, mp2, mp3, ogg, flac and m4a formats and playlists m3u, pls and e2pls. He runs skin only in conjunction with an HD.

Important notes:

This is beta software! The plugin is stable for me, but this is probably not for other conditions. Insofar green screens are not only possible, special more likely. There are certainly things in the operation, you can improve, and missing features. Please post suggestions for improvement, and of course errors that have occurred!

The plugin requires the Python packages mutagenic and twisted.

To operate:

The goal was to reach all the important functions of a button. For example, the green button to add songs to playlist, then jumps to the next track, ie more tracks can be added simply by repeatedly pressing the green button and the same applies to adding a whole list of titles. The play button adds e.g. the selected track plays after the current title, and it continues on with the playlist.

What's next?

There are features that I will still install it on every case and others where this is sufficient only if interested. And of course, the feature must fit into the concept, ie it must not lead to a complete restructuring of the program code.

In any case, is still in version 1: display of covers from the appropriate ID3 tag of the song rather than from the Internet.
Could possibly still in version 1: Support for CUE sheets, and audio CDs, or other suggestions from you.

Version 2 will then bring the database functions.

First of all, have fun with the new plugin.

das mit baskino war eine ausnahme weil die videofiles direkt auf der webseite im quelltext ohne verschlüsslung stehen. Bitte keine ausländischen requests mehr für die zukunft :-)
