BlackHole Vu+ Duo v. 1.6 - Graphics preview

This Release Includes:

- Update drivers 20110429
- Update crossepg svn 292
- New: added category bootlogo in addons
- New New New: added FULL SCREEN PREVIEW of skins and bootlogo
- New: snr working in usb tuner (most sticks supported)
New: add AC3+/DDP support (experimental)

WARNING: This Image has the latest drivers and CAN NOT be installed in multiboot.
The image MUST be installed in the flash.
Black Hole can not support images not installed in the flash.

This latest version of the Black Hole series has been entirely rewritten and improved in the code for maximum stability and performance.

Please note that of all images Black Hole now has the best epg system:
- Integrated OpenEpg
- Rytec dedicated epg.dat
- New system epg.dat outside.
This last feature gives the possibility to various forums or communities to create their favorite EPG data files and load them into a web space.
Community members can then download it from our servers.
This feature provides other benefits such as:
Increase download speed of EPG
Download EPG from any channel
Schedule the download of EPG decoder even during standby
Users can customize the providers using Add / Remove function

What is new?

P.B. means: Personal Backup.

Black Hole team want to make happy the users that are usual to flash many times their boxes.

The new function "Personal Backup" is a better and easy way to backup not only the settings but all the preferences and additions that users usually add in their own preferred image.

Install Black Hole 1.6.1, run personal backup and you will have all that you need ready to be installed in few minutes in all the future box flashes.

Personal backup is designed to be fast and user friendly.

Please test it and post a report about. If you like it, if you think it is complete for your use or if you like to have additions in future versions.

What is new ?

The new Black Hole Hdmi-Cec driver allow you to command two devices (Tv and Vu+ box) with only ONE Remote control (Tv remote control)

Not all television are compatibile with this funcion, as for example Panasonic and Philips seems to be not yet compatible with Bh Hdmi-Cec.
But Bh Hdmi-Cec is tested and report working works on all latest Samsung(Anynet+) and other Tv models like Sony Bravia KDL40EX402 series.
But we cannot test all tv recent models, so please help us reporting your tests too with your television model.

Instructions to connect the box to your Hdmi-Cec compatible Tv:
1) Enter in your Tv Menu Options and enable all the Hdmi-Cec options.
2) Enter in your Vu+ box Black Hole Hdmi-Cec Panel Setup (blue->blue->Black Hole Hdmi Cec: Configure in this screen the right Hdmi connection port and enable Bh Hdmi-Cec.
3) Click Save (red) button and your box will try to connect with your Tv.
All Done. If your Tv is compatible you can now control Tv and Box with Tv rc.
Warning: You have to select the specific port option if your box is connected to an ampli.

THIS IMAGE HAS BEEN COMPILED WITH THE NEWEST LINUX KERNEL AVAILABLE FOR OUR BOXES.

WARNING: THIS IMAGE USES A NEW FILESYSTEM AND IT IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH MULTIBOOT OR WITH OLD PERSONAL BACKUP.
THIS IMAGE HAS TO BE INSTALLED IN THE FLASH.

THE MOST COMMONLY USED USB TUNER DRIVERS ARE NOW INCLUDED IN THIS IMAGE AND ARE AUTO_DETECTED.(hauppauge win n***, aver volar, aver a867 ecc..)
THIS MEANS THAT YOU CAN BOOT THE IMAGE WITH THE USB TUNER INSIDE AND IT WILL BE IMMEDIATELY AVAILABLE AND WORKING.
For this reason the Usb dtt panel has been removed, because it is no longer needed.
More drivers will be available soon.

THE WIRELESS management has been changed to use the Vuplus proprietary system plugin and Wpa supplicant have been updated
to the latest version.

The HDMI-CEC panel has been removed because Black Hole firmware has switched to native Vuplus Hdmi-Cec implementation.
So you can now find Hdmi-Cec config in the plugins list.

This image is totally new inside.

This latest version of the Black Hole series has been entirely rewritten and improved in the code for maximum stability and performance.

Please note that of all images Black Hole now has the best epg system:
- Integrated OpenEpg
- Rytec dedicated epg.dat
- New system epg.dat outside.
This last feature gives the possibility to various forums or communities to create their favorite EPG data files and load them into a web space.
Community members can then download it from our servers.
This feature provides other benefits such as:
Increase download speed of EPG
Download EPG from any channel
Schedule the download of EPG decoder even during standby
Users can customize the providers using Add / Remove function
