Spain's national public broadcaster Corporación Radio Televisión Española (RTVE) will end 2010 with a deficit of €66 million according to the company's president Alberto Oliart.

"If all goes the same way as so far and the market evolution this year is the one declared by the broadcasters RTVE could have fewer incomes than expected" he said. At the same time he assured he has brought this information to the country's government for it to compensate this deficit.

The income estimated for the last four months of 2010 are €182.4 million but those real ones communicated to the Telecommunication Market Commission (CMT) -the association controlling the telco market in Spain- were €148.6 million this meaning a negative difference of €33.8 million.

Now it is the Spanish government's turn to make a decision of how to compensate for this loses.
