Morocco’s SNRT chooses Net Insight for DTT upgrade

Sweden-based technology company Net Insight has been chosen to provide an expanded digital-terrestrial TV network by Morocco’s Société Nationale de Radiodiffusion et de Télévision (SNRT).

SNRT, the national public broadcaster in Morocco, will use Net Insight's Nimbra platform for expanding its existing DTT-network. The purpose of the network expansion is to enhance the availability of the network as well as protect their services and investment already made.

Net Insight’s Nimbra platform will provide availability and control functions, while redundancy will be provided on both a DVB-ASI service level as well as SDH-STM-1 trunk level, according to Net Insight, which won the contract in partnership with prime integrator Ericsson.
