    Modric - going nowhere.
    REDKNAPP: MODRIC GOING NOWHERE

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has claimed no club could bid enough money to convince him to part with Luka Modric.
Croatia midfielder Modric has been in scintillating form for Spurs this season, playing a key role in their run to the Champions League quarter-finals on their debut in the competition.
The 25-year-old has been linked with a host of rival clubs, including Chelsea, Juventus and Inter Milan.
But speaking to Croatian newspaper Sportske Novosti, Redknapp said: "I wouldn't want to sell him for £100million, not even for a billion.
"He's the hub of the team."
Modric signed a new six-year contract contract with Tottenham last summer and his agent Mario Mamic dismissed speculation about a move away.
"These are just rumours," he told Calcio Mercato.
"Luka has a contract until 2016 and Tottenham have no plans to sell him.
"He has an excellent relationship with the coach, Redknapp, and only signed a contract extension with Spurs last summer."
Modric is one of a quartet of Croatia internationals currently on Spurs' books but he could be the only one left next season.
Midfielder Niko Kranjcar has already confirmed he would look to quit the club in search of regular football, while there is also doubt over the future of right-back Vedran Corluka.
Redknapp said: "Niko's a great player and a great guy, very polite, but the guy just has no luck.
"I don't want him to leave the club - he was fantastic last season - but we've got Gareth Bale out on the left of midfield.
"Believe me, he'll be back in the team. I don't know when, but he will be back."
He added of Corluka: "I would be sorry to lose him.
"He's a really upbeat guy, always does what I ask him, but unfortunately he suffered the injury in that stupid challenge from (AC Milan's Mathieu) Flamini and it ended that great run of form he was in."
Goalkeeper Stipe Pletikosa, meanwhile, has made just one appearance since joining on loan from Spartak Moscow.
Redknapp said: "Pletikosa has been really good in training, but what I would say is, what would you do in my position if you had Heurelho Gomes?
"Gomes is in great shape, and you can't play everyone."

Carlo Ancelotti - focus is on Chelsea.
    ANCELOTTI QUASHES INTER MILAN TALK

Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out ever taking charge of Inter Milan and played down speculation over a return to former club AC Milan by insisting he is staying focused on Chelsea.
Ancelotti spent 13 years with the red and black half of the Italian city as a player and then manager, memorably steering the club to Champions League success on two occasions, in 2003 and 2007.
He has continued to enhance his reputation since switching to Chelsea in 2009, claiming a domestic Double in his first full season at the helm there.
Inter president Massimo Moratti is believed to be a huge fan of Ancelotti, but the Chelsea boss maintains he would never take the reins of the Nerazzurri.
"If I would go to Inter in place of Leonardo? No, although I respect certain personal choices," Ancelotti told Il Giorno.
"I've spent 13 years at Milan, for me it is impossible to deny the past.
"Moratti said he thought also of me? I thank him for the kind words but I don't change my mind, I'm an AC Milan man.
"And in the event that Moratti had to call me in the future, I'll politely decline the invitation."
Asked about the possibility of going back to AC Milan, Ancelotti stressed that he was concentrating solely on his work with Chelsea.
However, he did admit that the Rossoneri would always hold a special place in his heart.
"Returning to AC Milan? Now I'm at Chelsea, I don't think," he said.
"But if one day (club supremo Silvio) Berlusconi or someone from AC Milan would call, I would not think for a moment to say yes, because certain relationships and certain victories will never be forgotten."

Correa - to leave club in June.
    CORREA TO STEP DOWN

Nancy coach Pablo Correa has announced he will step down at the end of the season.
The Uruguayan's current contract was set to run until 2012, but he feels he has done all he can for the club after nine years in charge.
Nancy have struggled for consistency this season and lie 14th in Ligue 1, six points above the drop zone.
"I think the club needs something else and I cannot give this because it is difficult to motivate all the time," he said on www.asnl.net.
"As I don't want to see Nancy in trouble, I prefer to leave. As of June 30 I will look for a new club.
"The time has come to move on. When you sign a long-term contract, you know you sit on something you take for granted.
"It would have been easy for me to stay, but I've never liked the easy option, I've always looked for levers to push the group further.
"Now I'm starting to see gaps at times. And I'm not in a position where I want to sit here in this seat and say things will work anyway, even though I don't have all the levers to push the squad along."
Correa had been hoping to keep his decision under wraps for the time being, but recent speculation prompted today's announcement.
"It's a decision I made a while ago and confirmed to (club president) Jacques Rousselot at the start of March," he said.
"We tried to keep it quiet as long as possible so as not disrupt the squad. But the rumours are out and the president thought it best to speak now."

Britannia Stadium - Suljevic player for the future.
    STOKE SEAL SULJEVIC DEAL

Stoke have confirmed that highly-rated Swedish starlet Smajl Suljevic has agreed to join the club.
The Potters have been chasing the 16-year-old for some time, with the talented defender declaring back in November that a deal was close.
It has taken some time for the finer details of a switch to be put in place, but the youngster will now join Stoke's academy ranks over the summer.
Suljevic, who took in a trial at the Britannia Stadium last year, will arrive having already turned out professionally for Dalkurd FF.
The Potters are pleased to have snapped up a player of such promise and are confident he will prove to be a shrewd acquisition for the future.
Academy manager David Wright told the club's official website: "We are delighted to bring Smajl here to the football club, because we feel he is a player with huge potential.
"He is a player we have liked for a long time now, and he left a huge impression on us whilst he was here on trial last year.
"We have worked heavily as a team to bring him here because a lot of work goes into bringing youngsters over from another country, including the education side of things, relocating them etc, so it isn't an easy process."
Suljevic has also expressed his delight at finalising a deal, with it having been an ambition of his to play in England for some time.
He said: "I'm very, very happy to be here today and to sign the agreement.
"It has always been a dream of mine to play in one of the top leagues in Europe and now I have that opportunity.
"From the very first moment I stepped into the place I knew I wanted to be part of it. The facilities are unbelievable here and I am looking forward to working with all of the coaches and players here in pre-season."

Re: Latest Transfer Update at 25-03-11

    Neuer - wants Germany stay.
NEUER WANTS TO STAY IN GERMANY

Schalke goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has ruled out a move abroad, but he has yet to fully commit his future to the Gelsenkirchen-based club amid rumoured interest from Bayern Munich.
The Germany number one still has over a year left to run on his contract with the Royal Blues, who are keen to tie him down to a new deal to warn off the likes of Bayern.
However, Neuer is not yet fully convinced about his future in Gelsenkirchen given Schalke's failure to compete in the Bundesliga this season.
But he is adamant he wants to stay in Germany - even with reported interest from the likes of Manchester United.
"I definitely want to win the Bundesliga once in my career," he said.
"I can go abroad twice a year, once for a summer holiday and once for a winter holiday, but whether I need to go abroad to play football - some players say you do, but I see things differently."
Neuer has the chance of winning some silverware this year with Schalke already in the final of the DFB-Pokal and into the last eight of the Champions League.
Bayern, on the other hand, are almost certainly going to end the season empty-handed and the potential for success is one of the criteria Neuer will be considering when the time comes to make up his mind about his future.
"The priorities are always success and how happy you are, and you have got to think of yourself," he added in Kicker magazine.
"I have won the League Cup twice and I hope to add the DFB-Pokal in May."
Whether Neuer would be happy in Munich is another question.
When Bayern hosted Schalke at the Allianz Arena a few weeks ago, many of the home fans held up banners making it clear that Neuer would not be welcome at their club.
That has not put the 24-year-old off, though.
"I got a lot of correspondence afterwards, also from Bayern fans, who apologised for what happened," he said.
"It was a strange situation and it would have been better had such a thing not happened.
"(The Bayern management) acted professionally and made it clear to me that it was just a minority protesting against me.
"It was uncomfortable for the Bayern management too."

    Pearce - enjoys U21 role.
    STUART PEARCE OFFERED U-21 EXTENSION

Stuart Pearce claims to have been offered the opportunity to extend his reign as England U21 boss.
The former Manchester City manager has been in charge of the Young Lions since 2007, while he also forms part of Fabio Capello's coaching staff with the senior side.
Pearce has enjoyed considerable success with the U21s, guiding them to the semi-finals of the 2007 European Championships and a runners-up finish at the 2009 event.
He will be looking to go one better this summer, with England among the favourites to take the crown in Denmark.
Pearce's current contract will expire at the end of that tournament, but he has revealed that he is mulling over a two-year extension.
"My contract finishes in the summer," said the 48-year-old, who revealed he had held talks about his future with FA head of football development Sir Trevor Brooking.
"I spoke with Trevor Brooking about a month ago. He's keen to extend it for another two years.
"I enjoy the job I do, so if it's workable, it might well happen."
Pearce has also admitted that he would be open to the prospect of leading Team GB into the 2012 Olympics, which are set to be staged in London.
He said: "I've no idea about the Olympics. I might be throwing the hammer.
"If I was asked to take a team to the Olympics, I'd be delighted to accept."
For now, Pearce is focused on a friendly date against Denmark on Thursday, with it important that England are in the best possible shape ahead of the upcoming European Championships.
"It's my last chance to have a look at them and get in my mind which 23 we're going to go with in the summer," said Pearce, who will also face Iceland next week.
"Competition for places is fantastic, not just to get in the team but to get in the squad of 23."
