VARNEY KEEN ON SEASIDERS RETURN
Derby striker Luke Varney has admitted he would relish the chance to rejoin Blackpool on a permanent deal.
The towering forward settled into his loan spell at Bloomfield Road quickly and wants to help them regain Premier League status - despite still having a year to go on his Pride Park contract.
The 28-year-old said: "I spoke to the gaffer briefly after the final game against Manchester United and told him that if there was ever an opportunity to come back, I'd snap his hand off.
"You never know in football. Even if there was a case of me coming back on loan, I'd definitely embrace that. It is a place I know and if two clubs came in for me and a decision had to be made, I'd choose Blackpool straightaway."
Varney ended his season with the Seasiders with five goals from 30 appearances.
