The take-up of DOCSIS 3.0 services is growing steadily in Hungary, according to data published by the country’s National Media and Infocommunications Authority (NMHH).
As of April there were a total of 94,200 subscriptions via cable for bandwidth in excess of 30 Mbps, up from 88,200 a month earlier.
A further 231,800 subscriptions received 30 Mbps internet access via FTTx, while 18.1% of high-sped internet subscriptions as a whole were for over 30 Mbps.
The total number of xDSL subscriptions in Hungary in April 2011 amounted to 804,355, whereas the total receiving broadband via cable stood at 94,159.
