I have a Cyfra+ original card seca mediaguard I havea n expiration date for 11 July 2011 although I have paid up for 1 year. I was told to remove from smargo & place it in any reciver that reads seca media guard or dreambox & leave it on TVP Info to get a signal from the provider to extend the date? Further it should be done between the 12th & the 22nd of the month prior to the date its due to expire.
Problem resolved I used Scam on the DM800 & it did extend another 30 days
although on the reciver the card shows extended until 06/08/2011 it just went blank today. I inserted back in DM with Scam but apparently I am not getting a refersher signal from the provider. would someone be kind enough top explain what should I do??

a friend of mine from Poland forwarded the card & sent it to me. He mentioned that I should have the card in Scam slot in the DM between the 12th & 22nd of each month to get a signal in order to extend the card dates. I have done so again today now I have 2 dates 05/09/2011 & the second date is 08/07/2011 but it seems the card stopped on 09/07/2011 relying on the 08/07/2011 date. I was told that both dates should change if I leave it in SCAM 58+ to get a signal from TVP info or might have to wait until 12/07/2011 to get it re activated (I feel there is some bull in this as I paid in advance top dollar for the card & seems to me whoever took out the contract on the card is paying montly?) Correct me if I am wrong?

Can it be activated in a DM using SCAM or do I need a seca reader as in a Diablo?
