German technical services provider Media Broadcast will support the live transmission of the Women’s Football World Championship which takes place from 26 June to 17 July 2011 in Germany.
On behalf of Host Broadcast Services (HBS), the official broadcast service provider of the FIFA tournament, the subsidiary of French TDF Group will connect all stadiums to the International Broadcast Communication Center (IBCC) in Frankfurt through its Next Generation Network (NGN).
The network enables the IP-based distribution of video signals from all match venues in real-time. Media Broadcast will also handle the uplink of the World Feed from the IBCC headquarters which will provide national and international TV channels with HD images of the event.
The company, which was handling broadcast services at the previous Football World Cups in Germany and South Africa, will also take over individual signal feeding and production services via SNG and NGN for further national and international broadcasters at this year's Women Soccer Cup.
