Dreambox 800hd

Hi all,
First post. Have yet to purchase my dreambox, but have been doing a lot of research online. It really seems to be a really handy piece of kit. I've a fair bit of experience in satellite comms but this receiver brings in the like of modems and ethernet ports and this is where it become a bit confusing.
I've gone through a lot of various tutorials on line about setting up this receiver but find a lot of the jargon confusing, ie imaging, flashing, dvb, ccam, ftp (file tranfer protocol? i think) Is there a link to a thread where all these words are explained. Also, i know there is a lot of clone dreamboxes out there, is ther anyway of distinguishing between a genuine dreambox 800hd and a clone one.

I think the price is a good way to see difference between a genuine dreambox 800hd and a clone one....
For the jargon, like everybody here, you need to read tutorials and forum to understand it.
