Carlos Tevez - wants to leave Manchester City.
MAN CITY WANT £50m FOR TEVEZ

Manchester City will demand a fee of around £50million for Carlos Tevez to get his wish and leave Eastlands.
City officials have responded to Tevez's latest attempt to sever ties with the club with a resigned shrug.
The Blues hierarchy were anticipating such a move and, given the bad blood which exists between Tevez's trusted advisor Kia Joorabchian and City chief executive Garry Cook and director of football Brian Marwood, it came as no surprise that it was delivered on the day a £7million transfer for Gael Clichy was completed and Partizan Belgrade skipper Stefan Savic arrived for a medical.
Whilst Tevez has cited a desire to spend more time with his two daughters and wife Vanesa as the major reason for his request to leave, City believe it is a smokescreen, despite their acceptance domestic life has not been easy for the South American during four years in Manchester.
There has been no official response to Monday night's announcement from a player currently appearing for Argentina at the Copa America, and it seems there is unlikely to be so just yet.
For City are relaxed in the knowledge that Tevez has three years remaining on a contract that is estimated to be worth in excess of £200,000 a week.
It means they have no reason to allow their skipper to leave on the cheap, and have absolutely no intention of doing so.
At a stroke, the figures involved cut down the number of potential suitors to around half-a-dozen, some of which have not shown any desire to bid for the player.
Barcelona for instance are currently haggling with Udinese over a price for City target Alexis Sanchez, whilst Chelsea have other areas of the field to address, having already splashed out £50million on Fernando Torres in January.
Both Milan clubs and Real Madrid might be more likely to do a deal and Juventus have previously expressed an interest, even if that would mean Tevez giving up the prospect of Champions League football once more, having spent two years trying to qualify for Europe's number one club competition with City.
It raises the potential for Tevez having to stay in the north-west, although, either way, there is unlikely to be a speedy resolution to an impasse it is difficult to see being resolved to the satisfaction of all parties.
"I would like to state that I have great respect for the club, its supporters and the owner, Sheikh Mansour, who has been nothing other than respectful to me," said Tevez.
"I hope that the people understand the difficult circumstances I have been living under the past 12 months, in regards to my family.
"Living without my children in Manchester has been incredibly challenging for me. Everything I do, I do for my daughters, Katie and Florencia. I need to be closer to them and to spend more time with them.
"I need them to be happy because my life is about them now. I need to be in a place where they can adapt."
Meanwhile, 20-year-old Montenegrin Savic would now appear to be in the final stages of his move, although the deal is likely to be delayed slightly as City attempt to secure a work permit for the defender.

    Nicky Ajose has joined Posh.
    POSH SWOOP FOR AJOSE

Peterborough have added their third player of the week from Manchester United with the arrival of striker Nicky Ajose on a four-year deal.
Ajose had a successful loan stint with Bury last season but will now make the step up to the Championship after signing for an undisclosed fee.
Posh had signed Ryan Tunnicliffe and Scott Wootton on loan from Old Trafford earlier in the week.
Boss Darren Ferguson, son of United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, said: "Nicky has good pace, is two-footed and a very good finisher.
"He has a lot of potential, has good pedigree and was successful during his loan spell with Bury last season, scoring a lot of goals in League Two.
"Craig Mackail-Smith has left and I am not going to be putting any pressure on the lad to be the replacement or anything like that, but he has that pace, he plays on the shoulder and he can also link play.
"He can play wide if we went to a three up top and I believe he is very good signing for the club."

Wesley Sneijder - heavily linked with a move.
    GASPERINI HOPEFUL SNEIJDER WILL STAY

Inter Milan coach Gian Piero Gasperini is confident Wesley Sneijder will stay at the club this summer despite interest from several Premier League sides.
The Holland midfielder, who is under contract at the San Siro until June 2015, has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United and Chelsea.
"I have no doubt that Sneijder is a great player," Gasperini said at his first press conference as Inter coach.
"It's difficult to know what can happen in the next 50 days of the transfer market.
"Inter want to become even stronger. Two years ago (Zlatan) Ibrahimovic left the club but the team was strengthened and became even stronger.
"Wesley's situation does not worry me.
"In recent years, Inter have made fewer mistakes in the transfer market than other clubs and have made the best choices. Hence, I can only be optimistic."
Gasperini did not confirm or deny reports in the Italian media that Inter have signed Argentinian midfielder Ricardo Alvarez from Velez Sarsfield.
Alvarez is also a reported target of Arsenal and Roma.
"Alvarez is a great player," said Gasperini. "In the case he did come to Inter, it would be an important addition."
Gasperini welcomes the burden of expectations that have greeted him.
"I have the fortune of coaching a very strong team, that has won everything in the past and will continue to do so," said Gasperini.
"I am not worried about anything. What matters here is to win and we will try to do so by also playing good football.
"What we will have to display right from the beginning is a strong mentality and a desire to achieve new targets.
"I know this team has great character and is able to react to adversity."

Luka Modric - no 'crunch talks' planned.
SPURS DENY CRUNCH TALKS WITH MODRIC

Tottenham midfielder Luka Modric will not be holding talks with chairman Daniel Levy on Tuesday over his future in north London, Press Association Sport understands.
The Croatia international's future has been subject of speculation this summer, which was fuelled further by the 25-year-old's admission last month that he would like to leave White Hart Lane for pastures new.
There were reports that Modric would meet chairman Levy to discuss his future but it is now believed that no such meeting has been scheduled.
It is understood that Modric has yet to return from his summer holidays and is not due back in the United Kingdom until Thursday, with no meetings slated for his return.
Modric has been mooted this summer as a potential target for both Manchester clubs and Chelsea, leading the playmaker to admit that he would like to leave Harry Redknapp's side for Stamford Bridge.
The Zadar-born midfielder's comments were met with a firm rebuffal from Spurs, with Levy announcing in a statement that the midfielder was not for sale at any price.
"I wish to make it absolutely clear, as I have said previously, that none of our key players will be sold this summer," he said.
"We are building a team for the future to consistently play at the highest level and retaining quality players is crucial to that.
"In respect of Luka Modric, we are not prepared to sell, at any price, to Chelsea Football Club or any other club.
"We made our stance on this issue abundantly clear in writing to Chelsea. They chose to ignore it and then subsequently made the offer public.
"For the avoidance of any doubt, let me reiterate that we shall not enter into any negotiations whatsoever, with any club, regarding Luka."
While Levy insisted that the club considered the "matter closed", Modric has continued to be linked with a move away from north London.
Modric joined Tottenham from Dinamo Zagreb in a £16.5million move three years ago and has since established himself as a key player for the club, performing with aplomb in the Barclays Premier League and last season's Champions League campaign.

    O'Shea - Sunderland target.
    QUINN HOPEFUL OF O'SHEA DEAL

Sunderland chairman Niall Quinn has revealed the club are hopeful of agreeing a deal for Manchester United defender John O'Shea.
The Black Cats have made a triple bid for O'Shea and United team-mates Darron Gibson and Wes Brown as they look to bolster their squad.
And United are ready to let the trio move on as they have slipped down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
A number of other Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest in O'Shea, but Quinn is optimistic he can lure his fellow Irishman to the Stadium of Light.
"We are in there trying hard for John and will see if something can unravel. We feel it is getting closer," Quinn told the Irish Daily Mirror.
"John had good family news in the last few days with the birth of his child. We've had to back off which is only correct. But the players are back in and we will see if something can unravel."
Arsenal and Stoke are both reported to be interested in O'Shea and Quinn is not surprised Sunderland face competition for the Republic of Ireland international.
"There is interest, naturally. All you can do is make your own pitch but we would love if John chose us," added Quinn.
Quinn admits there is still work to be done on luring Gibson to Wearside after holding talks with the midfielder.
He continued: "That one is a little bit further away. We would certainly still like it to happen but we will have to see."

Nugent - has signed for Leicester.
    FOXES SNAP UP NUGENT

Striker David Nugent has become Leicester's fifth signing of the summer after he agreed a three-year deal with the npower Championship club.
Nugent has one England cap and was available as a free agent after leaving Portsmouth at the end of his contract. The 26-year-old spent four seasons at Fratton Park after they paid Preston £6million for his services.
He joins Kasper Schmeichel, Neil Danns, Sean St Ledger and Lee Peltier as new signings at the King Power Stadium and Leicester boss Sven-Goran Eriksson told the club's website he was delighted to add Nugent to his squad.
"David is hard-working and will score goals for us. We are very pleased to have him on board as we continue to assemble a squad fit to challenge for promotion," he said.

Cesd Fabregas - saga likely to rumble on.
    FABREGAS SAGA TO KEEP RUNNING

Cesc Fabregas may have returned to start pre-season training at Arsenal, but faces a frustrating wait over just where he will start the new campaign as the Gunners look set to stand firm in Barcelona's on-going pursuit of their captain.
Unlike 12 months ago, there has so far been no public statement by either the Spain midfielder or the Barclays Premier League club over his immediate future.
Fabregas, 24, has reported back to London Colney, undergoing fitness work on his troublesome hamstring ahead of rejoining the full group later this week as Arsenal prepare for a short, but lucrative, trip to the Far East.
The Gunners - who are imminently expected to confirm the arrival of Ivory Coast striker Gervinho from Lille - have already rejected Barcelona's starting offer of £27million.
However, with Barca president Sandro Rossell now back from Copa America, the European Champions are determined to push through an improved deal, yet still below Arsenal's £40million valuation, before Arsene Wenger's squad head off to Malaysia.
There is, of course, no guarantee any agreement can be reached, which would leave Fabregas having little option but to join his current team-mates on the plane to spearhead the Gunners' commercial drive in Kuala Lumpur and then China.
Wenger, though, also knows from the experience of Thierry Henry's final campaign, there is no benefit in keeping an unhappy player just for the sake of it.
Whatever transpires with the latest chapter of the on-going transfer saga, losing his captain the same week as long-serving full-back Gael Clichy joined title rivals Manchester City would be a severe blow to morale, which is already in need of a lift after another season which imploded over the final weeks.
Arsenal's players have a staggered return to club duties this week, with contract rebel Samir Nasri not scheduled to return until Thursday, when the France midfielder is expectedly to tell Wenger whether he will commit to the Gunners cause, or look elsewhere for trophies, with Premier League champions Manchester United ready to test the Gunners' resolve.
Wenger is reported to hold many transfer targets this summer, but the sweeping changes predicted have so far failed to materialise - with those deemed now surplus to requirements, like Denmark striker Nicklas Bendtner, reporting back to Arsenal's Hertfordshire base.
Much of course could still happen in both directions before the transfer window closes at 11pm on August 31, with the Arsenal manager likening the whole process to a game of poker.
England centre-back Gary Cahill is a long-term target for the Gunners, but yesterday Bolton rejected suggestions a £17m deal was on the table, while Southampton also insist no formal agreement has been done for highly-rated youngster Alex Chamberlain and Argentina starlet Ricardo Alvarez appears set for Inter Milan rather than Emirates Stadium.
Clichy's departure has seen Newcastle left-back Jose Enrique emerge as a viable replacement, but with England international Kieran Gibbs already in the first-team picture, Wenger may well decide to put the reported £7m fee to better use on Lyon defender Aly Cissokho or indeed not spend it at all.
Given teenage defender Carl Jenkinson has so far been the only confirmed signing, in a £1m move from Charlton, many Gunners fans are becoming frustrated by the club's lack of movement in a summer transfer market which has seen their rivals already strengthen in numbers.
Supporters group 'Where has our Arsenal gone' - who organised a protest march about a 6.5% ticket price rise before the final home game of last season - are becoming concerned, but also hit out at those players not ready to dig in for the Gunners' cause.
"As supporters of Arsenal we don't want to see our best players leave. However, if they try and hold the club to ransom with extortionate wage demands or if they don't want to play for the club, we should let them leave - as long as the club is suitably remunerated," a statement read.
"No player is bigger than the club and as much as they may have kissed the badge in the past, they will never have as much affinity for 'The Arsenal' as we do. So thanks for your service but if you don't want to be here, good luck elsewhere."
The statement concluded: "We are back in pre-season training and no established quality has been brought in to bolster the squad, and there's still complete silence from the club's new majority shareholder [Stan Kroenke] with no comment regarding his intentions for the club.
"All these factors are making fans feel very concerned for our prospects in the coming season."
