Spanish new satellite pay-TV operator Starmax HD has indeed closed down: but only until Autumn, official sources now concede.

As reported in Rapid TV News, the Spanish satellite pay-TV operator Starmax HD ceased transmissions with some rumours suggesting the Hispasat satellite on which the operator transmits cut off the signal because Starmax did not pay for it. Other rumours suggested that the company had encountered serious technical problems.

Starmax has now admitted that the quality of its offering does not fulfil subscribers' expectations and so transmission has ceased until improvements have been made s it.

Furthermore the company's executives assured that they will return all of subscribers’ fees following a high number of clients complaining about its service.
Starmax HD started out last March with a 12 channel offering made by the following ones: Somos, Xtrem, Cinematk, Natura, Kidsco, BBC Entertainment, Eurosport 2, Eurosport HD, MGM HD, Discovery World HD, Film Box and Film Box Expaña.
