GROUPKEYUPDATE is for every irdeto based un_official cards it does not by itself you must have a valid HSN in your card
you also need a pci card like skystar2 and you must log the data stream correct PID IDENT of provider - you log must be at least 200 mb

once you have done the log you then use groupkey update and load the log - your card must be connected to a pheonix 3.68 mhz
and you run the program - if you get message ex serial not found that means that log did not correspond with your HSN - try try agian
or more or less log 200 mb stop and continue more logs maybe 1 week or 2 weeks each log 200 mb ...........

thats the short info explained how it works - but its no good if your hsn is dead
your card must contain a valid working HSN

I have a couple of other questions

1. to use groupkey updater, the card wills need a valid HSN. Then, when to use the groupkey updater ?

2. If I know a valid HSN from a friend, is it possible to log the stream using that valid HSN and use the groupkey updater ?

Forget the groupkey updater for activate your card with a valid HSN.
1.Leave the card inside slot receiver and wait to take the key update.(est.1-12h)
2.Send the line that corresponds to an active HSN (from a log file) using EMK - your card must be connected to a pheonix 3.68 mhz

ps You can also create a log file using a dreambox with IRD Emm Extractor.
