Eddie Howe - set to sign Jon Stewart.
    STEWART SET TO JOIN CLARETS

Burnley boss Eddie Howe is set to swoop for former Bournemouth goalkeeper Jon Stewart.
The Clarets chief, who is looking to add a third goalkeeper to his squad to put pressure on Lee Grant and Brian Jensen, has admitted that he is hoping to complete a deal for the 22-year-old.
"We know John from our time at Bournemouth," Howe told reporters after the 4-2 pre-season victory over Altrincham.
"He hasn't had a lot of first-team action in terms of professional games but he's someone we really like.
"He would come in with a view to being our number three because I think we need one."

Eddie Howe - hoping to boost Burnley's squad.
HOWE LOOKS TO BOOST BURNLEY SQUAD

Burnley manager Eddie Howe is hoping to add players to his squad "sooner rather than later".
Howe missed out on a deal for Jack Cork, who joined Southampton last week, and he knows that new arrivals are needed to give the Clarets a boost ahead of the new season.
"We need to strengthen the squad and that's what we're looking to do next week," he said after the pre-season victory against Altrincham on Saturday.
"We know the areas we want to strengthen and we certainly hope to do that sooner rather than later because we need to get people embedded into how we want to play.
"I don't think we need to bring in a load. I just want quality in certain areas to make us a better team."

    Charles N'Zogbia - Wigan star.
WHELAN: WE HAVE TO SELL N'ZOGBIA

Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has revealed the club "have to sell" winger Charles N'Zogbia, despite manager Roberto Martinez insisting he would keep hold of his star names ahead of the new Barclays Premier League season.
N'Zogbia, 25, has been linked with a move away from the DW Stadium with the likes of Aston Villa and Liverpool potential suitors, but Martinez maintained only on Friday that he, along with reported Arsenal target Hugo Rodallega, would not be sold although Whelan has since claimed otherwise.
"We have to sell Charles N'Zogbia because he's on the last year of his contract," he told talkSPORT.
"We can't keep him if a big club comes for him and he does deserve a big club because he's that kind of quality player."
The France international could walk away from Wigan for nothing next summer and could also receive a much bigger wage if he were to move on, but yesterday Martinez, talking at the announcement of a new shirt sponsorship deal, was bullish in his statement regarding the futures of his best players
He said: "We've got a lot of good players and it is understandable people are looking at them.
"There's been a lot of media speculation - that is part of being in the transfer window - but I am more focused on trying to reach the targets we set. The players are under contract."
Whelan seemed to contradict those statements today and admitted keeping hold of former Newcastle man N'Zogbia would be hard.
"We would love to keep him and pay him what he wants to stay with us but it's a very difficult situation.
"He's such a great player and we are such a small club sometimes we don't go together," Whelan added.

Carew - departs after over four years with Villa.
    REO-COKER AND CAREW DEPART VILLA

Nigel Reo-Coker, John Carew and Robert Pires are among 10 players released today by Aston Villa.
First-team squad members Moustapha Salifou and Isaiah Osbourne have also been allowed to leave Villa Park along with youngsters Durrell Berry, Ellis Deeney, Calum Flanagan, Harry Forrester and Arsenio Halfhuid.
Former England Under-21 captain Reo-Coker had featured regularly for Villa since signing from West Ham in 2007 but will now be looking for a new club, as will Norwegian forward Carew who spent the second part of last season on loan at Stoke.
Pires has been tipped to join former Arsenal team-mate Thierry Henry in Major League Soccer in the United States and the 37-year-old was never likely to extend his original six-month contract.
Reo-Coker moved to Villa Park from West Ham for £8.5million four years ago and captained the side several times during his stay. He featured in 30 Barclays Premier League games last season but has now been deemed surplus to requirements.
Carew, 31, joined the club with a genuine European pedigree and finished as Villa's leading goalscorer in three successive seasons before falling down the pecking order.
Veteran French midfielder Robert Pires had plenty of Premier League experience with Arsenal and after training with his former club to regain match fitness he was offered a short-term deal by Villa boss and fellow Frenchman Gerard Houllier in November.

    Lee Bowyer - Ipswich move.
    BOWYER COMPLETES IPSWICH MOVE

Midfielder Lee Bowyer has joined Ipswich on a one-year contract.
The former Birmingham man has the option of another year with the club and he is delighted to have completed his switch to Portman Road.
"There was interest from other clubs but Ipswich is the right choice for me," he told the club's official website.
"I know all about the traditions of the club and the history after working with Sir Bobby Robson at Newcastle. I know it's a family club but having met the manager (Paul Jewell), I know it's also an ambitious one and that's very important for me.
"Everything I heard from the manager was very positive. He wants to get Ipswich back in the Premier League and I'm looking forward to playing my part in trying to make that happen."
Jewell is delighted to add Bowyer to his options for the new season.
"We're obviously delighted to have signed a player of Lee's quality.
"Anyone who has seen Lee play over the years knows he is a winner and he will bring that winning mentality into our dressing room."
