Pulis: Determined to strengthen his squad
PULIS STILL EYEING NEW RECRUITS
Tony Pulis has reiterated his intention to bolster his "threadbare" Stoke squad before the transfer window closes.
The Potters boss has recruited Jonathan Woodgate on a free transfer this summer but is still on the hunt for new faces.
Stoke have been linked with a number of targets, including Peter Crouch, Cameron Jerome, Scott Dann and Wilson Palacios.
The latest name thought to be on their radar is out-of-favour Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who has stated his desire to leave the Emirates Stadium.
Pulis knows the Potters must develop their recruitment drive and is determined to strengthen before the new season gets underway.
"We are threadbare - fingers crossed we can bring one or two players in," he told the Daily Star.
"The biggest thing we have to do is improve our recruitment from the lowest level right through to the top."
