Pulis: Determined to strengthen his squad
    PULIS STILL EYEING NEW RECRUITS

Tony Pulis has reiterated his intention to bolster his "threadbare" Stoke squad before the transfer window closes.
The Potters boss has recruited Jonathan Woodgate on a free transfer this summer but is still on the hunt for new faces.
Stoke have been linked with a number of targets, including Peter Crouch, Cameron Jerome, Scott Dann and Wilson Palacios.
The latest name thought to be on their radar is out-of-favour Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner, who has stated his desire to leave the Emirates Stadium.
Pulis knows the Potters must develop their recruitment drive and is determined to strengthen before the new season gets underway.
"We are threadbare - fingers crossed we can bring one or two players in," he told the Daily Star.
"The biggest thing we have to do is improve our recruitment from the lowest level right through to the top."

Vieirinha: Linked with move to Blackburn
    VIEIRINHA IN DARK ON BLACKBURN

Portuguese winger Vieirinha insists he knows nothing of any offer from Blackburn.
It had been claimed that Rovers were close to agreeing a deal for the 25-year-old midfielder.
However, the former Porto man says he has only heard talk of a move in the press.
"I'm learning of the interest of Blackburn from the media," he told Greece's Gazetta.
"There have, however, been no offers. I am tired of hearing about teams being interested in me through the media."
Blackburn were linked with a £4million bid for the winger who has a buy-out clause in excess of £10million.

    Jonathan Spector: Joins Birmingham
    BLUES SIGN SPECTOR ON FREE

Jonathan Spector has become Birmingham's sixth free transfer signing of the summer.
The versatile defender and midfielder, 25, arrives at St Andrew's having been released by fellow relegated side West Ham at the end of last season.
Spector, a USA international who has spent the past five years at Upton Park following a move from Manchester United, underwent a medical at Blues on Monday before putting the finishing touches to a two-year contract, adding much-needed depth to Chris Hughton's new-look side in the npower Championship.
Birmingham, who are working under tough financial constraints following May's relegation from the top flight, have already captured Chris Burke, Marlon King, Morgaro Gomis, Adam Rooney and Steven Caldwell all on Bosman free deals. Goalkeeper Boaz Myhill has also joined on a season-long loan.
West Brom's Myhill was part of the deal which saw Ben Foster head in the opposite direction to The Hawthorns on a similar arrangement, while the likes of Craig Gardner, Roger Johnson, Sebastian Larsson, Barry Ferguson, Lee Bowyer and Kevin Phillips have also departed.
There are likely to be further casualties before the close of the transfer window on August 31, with prized centre-back Scott Dann, fellow defender Liam Ridgewell and strikers Cameron Jerome and Nikola Zigic all linked with moves away from the midlands club.
