International Qatar 24-hour English news channel Al Jazeera English has now launched on IPTV’s Total Play.

The channel will be available on the Total Mega package as well as through the on-demand service.

“We know that the Al Jazeera English online audience has grown significantly since the Middle East riots,” said Kimeran Daley, channel distribution director for the Americas. “The market is responding to demand, as is our channel. After nearly five years reporting outside Mexico, we are very happy that our coverage is now available to Mexican viewers,” he added.
The launching of the channel in the Mexican territory comes after its launch in Peru last July, through an agreement signed with Telefónica. The channel can also be watched in Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Honduras and the Caribbean.
