    Timothy Derijck: On the move
    PSV WRAP UP DERIJCK SWOOP

PSV Eindhoven have completed the signing of centre-back Timothy Derijck from ADO Den Haag, the Eredivisie giants have confirmed.
The Belgian defender has put pen to paper on a four-year contract at the Philips Stadion, with the deal thought to be worth 750,000 euros.
PSV were in the market for a new central defender after seeing Francisco Rodriguez leave for Stuttgart earlier this summer and have found his replacement in 24-year-old Derijck.
"PSV are, for me, a real step forward," Derijck told PSV's official website.
"I'm very excited to come to a club like PSV; it is a big club and I didn't need to think twice about joining.
"Just about every game is a must-win match for PSV as they are title contenders. I will fight for a first-team place at PSV, but the coach has revealed that no one is a guaranteed starter."
PSV technical manager Marcel Brands added: "Timothy Derijck is only 24 years old, yet he's an experienced player. He has skills and is full of potential."
Derijck, a youth product at Belgian club Anderlecht, joined ADO from Feyenoord in 2009 after failing to break into the first team at De Kuip.
He could make his league debut against his former club at the Kyocera Stadion this weekend.

    Danny Drinkwater: Loan move possible
    DRINKWATER SET FOR LOAN EXIT

Manchester United midfielder Danny Drinkwater has put clubs on alert by admitting he is likely to go back out on loan this season.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a full pre-season campaign after a string of injuries last term and and started the reserves' 2-1 defeat to Arsenal on Monday.
Drinkwater had spells at Cardiff and Watford in the Championship last season and expects boss Sir Alex Ferguson to send him out again for further first-team action.
"I have to speak to the gaffer, I'll maybe go back on loan to try and prove myself in the Championship and follow in some of the other lads' footsteps," he told MUTV.
"There's a lot of centre-midfield players at the club. They are all quality players so it is difficult to break through."

De Bruyne: Interested in joining Chelsea
    DE BRUYNE CLAIMS CHELSEA TALKS

Belgian midfielder Kevin de Bruyne hopes a deal can be agreed to take him to Chelsea after claiming that discussions are underway over a possible move.
The highly-rated 20-year-old, who has already represented his country at senior international level, helped Genk to the Belgian title last season.
He has been linked with a switch to Stamford Bridge for much of the summer and it now appears the Blues have stepped up their interest.
De Bruyne says talks are progressing well and he is optimistic an agreement can be reached that suits everyone.
Genk have previously stated they would not allow Chelsea to send De Bruyne out on loan to one of their domestic rivals, after reports suggested he might go to Anderlecht to smooth over the Blues' proposed move for Romelu Lukaku.
De Bruyne insists he would have no problem with returning to Genk for another 12 months, having spent his entire professional career with the club.
"My manager went to Chelsea on Wednesday and discussions have been good," De Bruyne, currently out of action with a calf injury, told Extra Time
"Maybe by the end of the month a deal can be sorted out, because that would be a good thing for all three parties - and if there is an agreement with Chelsea, I would certainly spend another year at Genk."
Lukaku's transfer to Chelsea is expected to be finalised this week after a deal was agreed with Anderlecht, while the Blues have already recruited Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois from Genk and loaned him to Atletico Madrid.

    Daniel Ayala: Joins Norwich
    NORWICH COMPLETE AYALA SWOOP

Norwich have confirmed the signing of defender Daniel Ayala from Liverpool on a four-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old Spaniard becomes Paul Lambert's eighth summer addition as he looks to bolster a squad which secured successive promotions from npower League One to the Barclays Premier League.
Ayala joined Liverpool from Sevilla in 2007, but found his first-team opportunities limited at Anfield, and last season spent loan spells in the Championship at both Hull and Derby.
Lambert feels Ayala will add some much-needed depth for the challenges ahead.
Speaking last week to BBC Radio Norfolk, he said: "I just think you've got to have a lot of cover throughout the coming games and a long hard season.
"He's a young player and obviously played against us for Hull and Derby and I thought he was strong and aerial as well, he was somebody we thought could benefit the football club."

Gervinho: Sent off against Newcastle on Saturday.
    GERVINHO BAN UPHELD

Arsenal striker Gervinho will serve his three-match ban for violent conduct after the Football Association dismissed his appeal on Tuesday following his red card in Saturday's Barclays Premier League game at Newcastle.
The 24-year-old Ivory Coast forward was sent off in the second half of the goalless draw at St James' Park for striking Magpies midfielder Joey Barton following what the home side claimed was a dive in the penalty area.
The Gunners on Monday lodged a claim that the standard three-game ban was "clearly excessive", but an FA regulatory commission heard the case on Tuesday and ruled that the punishment should stand.
"Arsenal's Gervinho has had his three-match suspension for violent conduct confirmed today," read an FA statement on Tuesday.
"The player was sent off during Arsenal's fixture against Newcastle United at St James' Park on Saturday.
"Arsenal subsequently lodged a claim that the standard punishment of three matches was clearly excessive.
"A commission heard the claim today and dismissed it, meaning the player must serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect."
The FA on Monday charged both clubs with failing to control their players following the ill-tempered opening fixture on Tyneside.
Arsenal midfielder Alex Song faces a separate charge of violent conduct after his stamp on Barton, which had inflamed the situation, was missed by referee Peter Walton.
Gervinho will miss the games against Liverpool, Manchester United and Swansea - and Song could also be hit by the same retrospective punishment.
Barton, meanwhile, received a yellow card for his part in the melee, and as such has already been sanctioned.
The controversial midfielder admitted on Twitter that he "went down easily" following Gervinho's slap.

Vela: Poised for medical before Sociedad loan.
    VELA AND BOTELHO LOANED OUT

Arsenal have announced Mexico striker Carlos Vela and Brazilian defender Pedro Botelho will spend the 2011/12 season on loan with Spanish Primera Division clubs.
The 22-year-old Vela, who spent the second half of last season on loan at West Brom, is to join Real Sociedad subject to a medical, while Botelho, 21, will move to newly-promoted Rayo Vallecano, the Gunners confirmed on their official website.
Both players have played on loan in Spain before, with Vela having spent time at Salamanca and Osasuna, while Botelho spent last term at Segunda Division side Cartagena and previously played for Salamanca and Celta Vigo.
