Papiss Demba Cisse: Linked with move to England
CISSE OPEN TO PREMIER LEAGUE MOVE
Sunderland and Blackburn target Papiss Demba Cisse admits he is tempted by a potential move to England.
The Freiburg striker, who has also been linked with Fulham and Tottenham this summer, made a name for himself by netting 22 goals in the Bundesliga last season.
His club's £13million valuation of him has proved a stumbling block so far, but the 26-year-old is open to a move to the Premier League while the summer transfer window remains open.
"We will see what will happen. Everything remains open," the Senegal international told L'Equipe.
"I am attracted by England or a big German club. But I don't forget that my club allowed me to launch my career.
"They have always trusted me, even when I experienced difficulties when I first joined the club."
Cisse has netted seven goals in nine appearances for his country and is also on the radar of Bundesliga giants Schalke.

    Morgan Schneiderlin: Staying at Southampton
    NEW DEAL FOR SCHNEIDERLIN
Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin has committed his future to the club by signing a new deal at St Mary's.
The Frenchman's contract was due to expire at the end of the current season but he is now tied to the Saints until the summer of 2014.
Schneiderlin was happy to pledge his long-term future to the Saints and has set his sights on winning promotion to the Premier League.
"I'm very pleased to have signed a new deal, and I think that by signing up all the players the club has shown that they have a trust in us, and they want us to go and do the best that we can," said Schneiderlin.
"One of the main reasons why I signed the contract extension was because the chairman wants to get back to the highest level, and that's personally my target as well.
"I think every player wants to play in the Premier League and this club has got everything to do that, so I want to be a part of that.
"We are in a great position because we have started the season very well, we just have to perform every week as we have done so far.
"We need to take every game as if it's the FA Cup Final, then we'll see where we are, which will hopefully be on top so that we can play in the Premier League."

Lucho Gonzalez: Not set for Arsenal loan move
ARSENAL FAIL WITH LUCHO GONZALEZ BID
Didier Deschamps says Marseille have rejected a bid from Arsenal to sign midfielder Lucho Gonzalez on loan.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a move away from the Stade Velordome all summer, but moves to Spain and Italy have never materialised.
Arsenal were linked with a shock move for the playmaker, and Deschamps has confirmed that they did indeed show an interest in him - as opposed to his team-mate Mathieu Valbuena, who has also been linked with the Gunners.
"The one that really interests them is Lucho Gonzalez," Deschamps confirmed at a news conference.
"Arsene Wenger believes that it is a great player who could be useful to his team even though he does not fit in with his recruitment policy.
"He wanted him on loan but it was not acceptable to us."

    Newcastle celebrate Ryan Taylor's winner.
PARDEW KEEN TO BRING IN NEW FACES
Newcastle boss Alan Pardew will urge owner Mike Ashley to open his chequebook this week after leading his side to a derby victory at Sunderland.
The Magpies headed for the Stadium of Light without a specialist left-back and still searching for a top-class striker, but returned with all three points after staging a spirited rearguard action.
Ironically, it was Ryan Taylor, the utility man asked to plug the gap left by Jose Enrique, who claimed the headlines with a 62nd-minute free-kick which proved enough to clinch a precious win.
Pardew admitted he would resume his mission to add new recruits on the back of a solid start to the season, which has brought four points from two games.
He said: "A victory like today helps me with [managing director] Derek [Llambias] and Mike to go upstairs and say, 'Come on, let's try to get them in this week'.
"We want to get the right players and we want to get the best value we can, and we are trying to do that.
"The group I have got is sound. They are aware to balance us up, we perhaps need a left-back in the building and we need a striker in, and that's what we are going to try to do."

Jagielka: Subject of a bid this summer from Arsenal.
    MOYES: JAGIELKA HAPPY TO STAY
Everton boss David Moyes claims Arsenal target Phil Jagielka is happy to stay at the club unless he is told otherwise.
The centre-half has already been the subject of one failed bid from Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who has been under pressure to bolster his back-line.
Speculation persists that the Londoners will return with an improved bid before the transfer window closes but Moyes insists Jagielka has never instigated a move away.
"I have had two or three conversations with Jags and he is up-to-date with everything and anything that has happened," Moyes told the Liverpool Echo.
"He has said to me that, unless it is something Everton want to do, he is not going to be the one who instigates or pushes anything."
"It will only be if Everton want to do it and I certainly don't want to do it."
Meanwhile, Moyes has revealed the club are close to agreeing a new contract with midfielder Marouane Fellaini.
"I think the chairman is moving much closer to agreeing a deal with Fellaini," he added.
