DREAM 500s PROBLEMS AND NEED INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE

Hi to all! I am a NEWBIE at 70 years old. with many questions. to start with this is what I have. a dream 500s D/3 s/n # 6101203816654s. MAC # 000934396540. I live now in Nanning China from America. watch sat 134.e and 138.e with a 32" dish mortised,11300 LMB, It has been working good for the last 3 years except it fr-eases up when the rain comes and when the internet is slow not to much. the other day I un-plug it and when i went to reboot it all it will do is keep booting over and over with the logo a message that waiting for sat and CCcam221 over and over. All is frozen nothing works. Now i was told i can use (dreamup) to fix it but I do not know how. what cables do I need and what programs on my computer.this is all new to me. can some one run me through this in a layman's way. I am new to this hope i am in the good place for this.

hi, you need cable rs 232 9 pin, and computer, for download new image, you can find it in this forum, have you save the c line you have before. good loock

I do not understand Sibril what is C line and i have 2 cables one is USB to computer and RS323 to dr box and other is 15 pin to computer and RS323 to DM box. witch is best and do I have to use the power supply on the DR box to flash.

I have tried everything and know luck it is so locked you can not even turn it off with the no off button in front. I think i will just buy another dream 500s and it will work for another few years.

able41 try to change the adapter for dm500s maybe could fix something, how to use dreamup with rs cable see a video on youtube! :)

well i got it and and tried to use another power supply from the new one and no different still no work. maybe if we here in China could get YOUTUBE and watch the video it may of helped. I will tell you all how the new Dream 500V8 works in an hour or so.

Well I got it up and running seemed easy this time even to setup the discrete c motor drive this is what i got.a dream 500V8 S/N 663653881451885. MAC 000934:66:7A:54 ccCAM 221 software version 123.19.10.2009 it works good so far on 134E & 138E. now I can play with the old box and keep my wife out of my hair at least she can see all her movies.
