Fofana: Happy to have joined Lyon
FOFANA WAS CLOSE TO MAN CITY MOVE

Gueida Fofana has revealed he came close to joining Manchester City before completing a move to Lyon.
The highly-rated midfielder made the switch to Stade Gerland just before the transfer deadline after catching the eye with Le Havre.
He has also impressed at youth international level with France at various age groups and a number of leading clubs were monitoring the progress of a player who is regarded as a possible superstar of the future.
Fofana admits Man City were leading the chase for his signature and he would have been ready to accept such a challenge, but the prospect of playing more regularly for Lyon swayed his decision.
"I was keen to leave Le Havre in my mind. They gave me until the end of August to sort out my future," he told France Football.
"At first, actually I was due to leave for Manchester City. It was the club that showed the most interest in me just after the Under-20 World Cup.
"There were also Spanish, English and French sides, but Manchester City was in with the best chance.
"Even if they have a lot of midfielders, I was keen to go there. Then, early last week, Lyon came. In my position, they have only Kim Kallstrom and Maxime Gonalons.
"It changed everything. Considering the prospect of having first-team opportunities at the highest level, I didn't hesitate."

Morten Rasmussen: Celtic exit
RASMUSSEN LEAVES ON LOAN

Celtic striker Morten Rasmussen has joined Turkish club Sivasspor on loan until the end of 2011.
The Danish forward made the move before the Turkish transfer window closed on Monday evening and ahead of the first weekend of the domestic season.
Rasmussen, 26, joined the Hoops from Brondby in January 2010 but has made just two league starts and eight substitute appearances since, scoring two goals in the process.
He spent time on loan at Mainz and AaB last season and has played for Denmark five times, scoring one goal.
Sivasspor kick off their season with an away game agains Karabukspor.

McKay: Ready for Rangers debut
McKAY READY FOR RANGERS

Rangers' Australia international signing Matt McKay cannot wait to get his Ibrox career up and running this weekend.
The 28-year-old is currently on international duty, but is jetting to Glasgow after Wednesday's clash with Saudi Arabia.
McKay resolved work permit and visa problems before the international break, but opted to remain in his homeland to play for the Socceroos.
The former Brisbane Roar midfielder is frustrated he has not been able to start his Light Blues career sooner, although he is fully fit and ready to feature under manager Ally McCoist if needed.
"It was very frustrating that I wasn't able to get involved with the Rangers boys straight after I signed," he told the Daily Record.
"First, there was the delay with the work permit then there was the wait for the visa in Australia which seemed to go on forever.
"I would much rather have been in Scotland pushing for selection but by the time everything was sorted the preparation for the World Cup qualifiers was upon us.
"So it made for more sense to stay here rather than head to Scotland and come back for these games.
"I'll be ready to play as soon as I get to Scotland. I've been keeping fit and playing in the two games for Australia will help."
