Gomez: Has scored eight goals in six league games
GOMEZ HAPPY TO STAY AT BAYERN

Bayern Munich striking ace Mario Gomez says he is open to extending his contract with the Bundesliga giants beyond 2013.
The 26-year-old, who arrived at Bayern two years ago from German rivals Stuttgart, finished last season as the league's top scorer.
Gomez has also made a flying start to the current campaign, scoring eight goals in six league games to help the Bavarians to pole position in the table.
The striker is contracted until June 2013 but would be happy to negotiate an extension on his deal.
"Why should I seek a change or not extend my contract when things are going so well," he told Bild magazine.
"I feel very well here. I can imagine staying on beyond 2013.
"I do not know when contract talks are planned for but I am open to them."

    Matt Doherty: Wants first-team football
    DOHERTY AIMING FOR LOAN BOOST

Wolves starlet Matt Doherty is keen to further his development on loan having celebrated a new contract by stepping out at Molineux for the first time in Tuesday night's Carling Cup triumph over Millwall.
The 19-year-old right-back was making only his third senior appearance - and the first on home soil - as the Black Country club made light work of their npower Championship opponents, romping home 5-0 to book their place in the last 16 of the competition.
Doherty, who represented the Republic of Ireland at this summer's Under-19 European Championship, has now tied himself down to Wolves until 2014, with his original deal due to expire at the end of this season.
He is now looking to enhancing his experience and, should that not come with Wolves, he is ready and willing to step into the second tier.
"Premier League games are probably still a bit far away but if I can play in as many cup games as possible, game-time is all I want really," said Doherty, who put in a fine display against Kenny Jackett's side.
"Nobody's come in for me on loan yet, hopefully maybe there was someone watching. But if the gaffer still wants me to go out, I'm not sure.
"Going on loan is very much an option, I'm not going to play every week so maybe at that level every week then obviously I would improve.
"If I don't go on loan I'd like to play the remaining cup games for as long as we're in the competition, and the FA Cup as well. A few injuries, you never know, and you could make a Premier League appearance. If not then the main aim will be to go on loan."
Speaking about Doherty's display, McCarthy added: "Matt was as good as anyone on the field, he's a good player. He's just signed a new contract and I'm delighted with him."
Another member of Wolves' development squad to hit the headlines in the convincing cup romp was 18-year-old Birmingham-born James Spray, who stepped off the bench to make his first-team debut.
The striker was a 74th-minute replacement for Stephen Hunt and appeared to make an immediate impact as he fired home from six yards.
However, Spray's memorable debut goal may be taken away from him following post-match claims - along with the support of television evidence - that team-mate Sam Vokes got the final touch and directed home his wayward shot.
But that did not seem to stop the teenager trying to claim the strike as his own after the game.
Spray said: "To find the ball at my feet in that position and to see it hit the back of the net was a great feeling.
"I laid it out wide first to (Adam) Hammill then I got in the box for the return - that's what TC (Terry Connor, assistant manager) is always telling me to do. Hammill put it in and I just hit it."
He continued: "The other lads have been brilliant - they always are and it was nice to see that when I scored too. Everyone jumped on me and was delighted for me."
McCarthy, meanwhile, admitted it should be given to Vokes but was less concerned about who got the final touch.
"I know everybody gave the goal to Spray but it wasn't, it was Vokes' goal," said the Wolves boss. "It went in off Sam's leg.
"I was delighted when I thought it was Spray's goal but actually I'm delighted for Vokesy because he needs it as well.
"It doesn't bother me who gets it."

Fabio Capello: Has a fan in Moratti
    FA CONFIDENT OVER CAPELLO

The Football Association are relaxed about the possibility of Fabio Capello being linked with the vacant Inter Milan job.
Capello is bound to be one of the names mentioned following the dismissal of Gian Piero Gasperini, who has been axed just three matches into the new Serie A season.
Inter president Massimo Moratti has previously spoken in glowing terms about the 65-year-old Capello, who presided over AC Milan's glory days a decade ago.
However, the FA are totally confident Capello would resist any overtures and is intent on remaining in his job until after Euro 2012.
England visit Montenegro next month knowing a draw will be enough to clinch a place in next summer's finals in Poland and Ukraine.
General manager Franco Baldini has already agreed to take up a similar position with Roma once qualification is assured.
However, with further friendlies to prepare for, and players' form to assess, the FA do not view that as likely in Capello's situation and are certain the Italian will see out his contract as agreed.
Moratti decided it was time for a change after Gasperini's side lost 3-1 at newly-promoted Novara last night - their fourth defeat in five games this term.
A statement from the club read: "The club wishes to thank Gian Piero Gasperini for the effort shown during his tenure and manifests its true disappointment for the interruption of the relationship with the coach."
Gasperini told www.inter.it: "In the end, the results are the ones that determine everything. I am very disappointed. It's a pity that our relationship had to be interrupted."
Former Chelsea, Juventus and Roma coach Claudio Ranieri is the leading candidate to replace Gasperini.

Joey Barton: Spoke to Arsene Wenger
    BARTON CLAIMS WENGER TALKS

Joey Barton has claimed he held talks with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger before joining QPR.
New Rangers captain Barton believes his hopes of becoming a Gunners player were scuppered after he was involved in Gervinho's sending-off on the opening day of the Barclays Premier League season.
Playing what proved his final home match for Newcastle last month, Barton threw himself to the ground after clashing with Arsenal's new striker, who was shown a red card.
Midfielder Barton told BBC Sport: "If I hadn't played against Arsenal on the first day, I may have signed for them.
"There were a couple of conversations [with Wenger] but that's different to actually signing.
"The Gervinho incident happened and there's nothing I can do about it now.
"If it happened again, I'd like to think I'd deal with it differently.
"Things happen for a reason and there's a lesson to be learned from it. Right now, we sit above Arsenal in the table - hopefully that's the case in May."
Barton was made available on a free transfer by Newcastle this summer after the player criticised the way the club was being run on Twitter.
He added: "There were a couple of offers on the table but now I'm really happy to be at QPR and in London.
"We play an expansive and exciting brand of football and can hopefully surprise a few people this season."
Meanwhile, fellow Rangers new boy DJ Campbell has revealed he is still not fully recovered from a virus and promised even more goals after scoring his first for the club.
Campbell was sidelined for a month after making his debut for his boyhood idols against Bolton on the opening day of the season.
But the summer capture from Blackpool came off the bench in last Monday's game against Newcastle and did the same at Wolves on Saturday, netting his side's third goal at Molineux.
"Injuries are tough enough to take, but missing out due to illness is even worse," Campbell told his club's official website.
"I felt a bit below par before the Bolton game but I played through it. It got really bad after that game though and I felt really weak.
"I'm nowhere near 100% yet, but I'm slowly but surely feeling stronger by the day and the best is definitely yet to come from me."
